Solan: The fourth Invitational Cricket Tournament for boys kicked off with a grand opening ceremony at Pinegrove School, Dharampur. Sanjeev Suri, CEO of Eurochem International in the UAE, attended as the chief guest. Leading schools from across India, including Bishop Cotton School Shimla, Mayo College Ajmer, Punjab Public School Nabha, Welham Boys School Dehradun, and the host school, Pinegrove School Solan, are competing in this event. The sports prefect, Devashish Sajela, led the oath-taking ceremony, setting a spirited tone for the games.
Excitement surged as Pinegrove School faced Welham Boys School in the opening match. Pinegrove batted first after winning the toss, setting a competitive target of 151 runs in just 15 overs, with only one wicket lost. Their impressive 54-run lead clinched the first thrilling victory of the tournament. Dilsher Pratap Singh was honored as the Player of the Match for his outstanding performance.
