Solan: The Road Safety Club at Govt. Degree College, Jainagar, organized a poster-making competition on November 21, 2024, at 11:00 AM. Prof. Pragati Kashyap, the club’s convener, organized the event. Its primary goal was to spread awareness about road safety and inspire students to share critical safety messages through art.
Participants created posters on diverse themes such as “Stop speeding, save lives,” “Drive balanced, stay safe,” and “No helmet, no ride.” Other topics included “Driving carefully near school zones,” “Dangers of ignoring red lights,” “Pedestrians first: Look before crossing the road,” “Hill roads can be dangerous – be alert,” “Use horn on blind turns,” and “Do not overload your vehicle – safety first.”
The entries were judged based on creativity, clarity, and visual appeal. Winners of the competition were Neeraj Kumari, Diksha Kumari, and Akanksha Kumari. The event not only engaged students but also strengthened the message of road safety within the college.
