Solan: Shoolini University is all set to host the Yogoda Satsanga Society of India (YSS) Children and Teens Camp 2026 from May 31 to June 6, bringing together more than 200 young participants from across the country for a week-long programme focused on holistic development, spiritual growth and life skills.
The camp, being organised in collaboration with YSS, is inspired by the educational ideals of Sri Sri Paramahansa Yogananda, author of the best-selling spiritual classic Autobiography of a Yogi. Yoganandaji emphasised the balanced development of the body, mind and soul.

More than 100 boys and 100 girls in the age group of 12 to 17 years are expected to participate in the camp and experience the transformative “how-to-live” teachings envisioned by Yoganandaji.
Ahead of the camp, Shoolini University Chancellor Prof. P.K. Khosla met senior YSS monastics Swami Shankarananda and Nirmalananda and presented them with a copy of his recently published book. Shoolini University Registrar Prof. Sunil Puri, Director, Operations Brig. (Retd.) S D. Mehta and members of the YSS Youth Services Working Group, including Sri Vihari Komaragiri, Sri Ajay Madan, and Smt. Manju Gupta were also present during the interaction.
The camp will officially commence with a special message from YSS/SRF President Swami Chidananda Giri, who will address the participants and inspire them to cultivate self-discipline, inner strength, and spiritual awareness. Throughout the week, children will engage in a variety of activities including arts and crafts, sports, team-building exercises, cultural programmes and nature-based learning experiences.
A key feature of the camp will be the daily practice of group meditation and Raja Yoga techniques designed to help participants improve concentration, recharge their bodies with cosmic energy (prana), and develop a deeper connection with the divine. YSS sannyasis and experienced educators will conduct special “how-to-live” classes on fearlessness, intuition, willpower, friendship, concentration, and compassion.
The programme will also feature several exciting activities, including a forest hike, a movie day, a spiritual mela, cultural performances, and a pilgrimage to a replica of the revered Mahavatar Babaji’s Cave.
The closing ceremony will be graced by YSS Vice-President Swami Smaranananda Giri, who will offer his blessings and address the young participants.
Chancellor Shoolini University Prof. P K Khosla said that Shoolini University will provide an ideal environment for such a transformative initiative. Surrounded by the natural beauty of the Himalayan foothills and away from the pollution and distractions of urban centers, the campus offers a peaceful setting where children can learn, reflect, and grow.
