Solan: Public Policy India and the L.R. Group of Institutes hosted the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2026 – Young Professionals Roundtable in Solan, Himachal Pradesh. Organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports and MY Bharat, the event centered on the theme “Building a Future-Ready Workforce for Viksit Bharat,” aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for a developed nation by 2047.
The dialogue opened with a presentation by Viraaj Sood, who proposed community skill labs, village skill banks, and future skill parks to turn India’s demographic dividend into economic productivity. Academic and industry leaders then shared their perspectives on bridging the gap between education and employment:
Dr. Kulbhushan Chandel, Professor at Himachal Pradesh University, emphasized aligning academic curricula directly with evolving industry needs, focusing on capability, innovation, and practical values. Smt. Ritika Singh, Founder and CEO of Kontent Factory, urged students to build strong personal brands, emotional resilience, and healthy coping mechanisms.
Shri Yash Agarwal, Founder of Public Policy India and STRIDE, encouraged young professionals to pursue career opportunities within India, leverage internships, and cultivate essential soft skills that artificial intelligence cannot replicate. Dr. Shachi Singh, Managing Director of the L.L.R. Educational Trust, advocated for embedding Universal Human Values across schools, ITIs, and universities to ensure the workforce remains ethical and grounded.
The event brought together key administrators, including MY Bharat Solan District Youth Officer Bhupender Singh Gill, L.R. Group Registrar Surat Singh, and Department Principals Dr. Nisha Sharma, Dr. Kanchan Bala Jaiswal, Dr. Shweta Sandhu, and Dr. Avneet Gupta.
During an interactive Q&A session, students engaged speakers on grassroots upskilling and career readiness. Panelists concluded that technical skills alone are not enough to achieve the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision, emphasizing that integrity, empathy, strong judgment, and lifelong learning remain essential for long-term success.
