Solan: In a tragic incident, one person lost his life, and another sustained severe injuries due to a roof collapse. The unfortunate incident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday in Kotla village on Jauna Ji Marg near Solan.
Reports indicate that the roof of a local resident named Jagdeep Thakur’s kutcha house collapsed around 4:00 am, leading to the tragic outcome. It was revealed that two individuals were inside the house asleep when the accident happened.
The individual who tragically lost his life has been identified as Arjun, a 32-year-old man of Nepali origin. Another person, Ashok, aged 63, was injured due to the collapse. When the house owner, Jagdeep Thakur, was informed about the incident, he promptly arrived.
Both injured individuals were swiftly transported to the regional hospital for medical attention. Unfortunately, Arjun was declared dead upon arrival at the hospital. This incident serves as a sobering reminder of the importance of ensuring buildings’ structural integrity and safety to prevent such heart-wrenching accidents.
