Agri students gets tips on Interview during Campus Connect programmes by Mahindra Summit Team

Solan: Mahindra Summit Agriscience conducted a Campus Connect Program for the students of Dr. YS Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni, with participation from the company’s senior management team.

Sandeep Gadre, CEO of Mahindra Summit Agriscience, addressed the students and shared the company’s vision, emphasizing the wide range of employment opportunities available for agricultural graduates within the agri-input industry. He highlighted the importance of building strong alumni networks to better understand industry requirements and bridge the gap between academia and the corporate world. Gadre also offered practical advice on cracking interviews and pointed out common mistakes made by students during the recruitment process. He encouraged students to step out of their comfort zones, think innovatively, and actively seek experiential learning opportunities. Hiroyuki Inoue, Chief Strategy Officer, provided insights into the company’s strategic initiatives and ongoing projects.

Prof. Rajeshwar Singh Chandel, Vice-Chancellor of the University, expressed his gratitude to the Mahindra Summit team for selecting the university for this interactive session. He showed keen interest in future collaborations, particularly in the areas of research and student internships.

The Mahindra Summit team engaged in discussions with the University Placement Cell to explore potential internship and placement opportunities for students. As part of the visit, the team also toured the laboratories, where scientists from the Departments of Plant Pathology and Entomology presented their research and highlighted the departments’ ongoing initiatives.

The delegation comprised 35 members, including Dr. Rameshwar Rattan, Associate Vice President, Sagar Daroch, Marketing Head for North India and West Bengal and Neeraj Gulati, Head Biological and Water Soluble Fertilizers. The event witnessed participation from statutory officers, Heads of Departments, and a large number of students.
