Solan: The Annual Training Camp (ATC) 205 of the 1 HP Girls Battalion NCC Solan concluded successfully at Baru Sahib under the leadership of Commanding Officer Col. Vivek Bhatara. Cadets from various schools and colleges across Himachal Pradesh participated with great enthusiasm.
On 24th August evening, the camp ended with a grand closing ceremony featuring a cultural programme and prize distribution. The event began with a devotional Devi Stuti dance, seeking blessings for the camp’s successful completion. Later, cadets showcased their talents through solo and group songs, dance dramas, yoga dance performances, and other artistic displays that captivated the audience.

Dr. Neelam Kaur, Advisor, Health & Education, attended as the Chief Guest. She praised the cadets for their discipline, energy, and commitment to the NCC motto of “Unity and Discipline.” She encouraged them to strive for excellence and contribute meaningfully to society and the nation. The event also welcomed Col. Anand and Mrs. Anand as Guests of Honour. They congratulated the cadets and motivated them to uphold the values of leadership, patriotism, and teamwork gained during the camp.
On the last day, the Camp Commandant delivered the closing address, appreciating the cadets for their dedication, discipline, and active involvement. Selected cadets shared their learning experiences and suggested ideas for improving future camps, showcasing the spirit of collective growth.
The camp concluded with an educational visit to the Baru Sahib campus, where cadets explored its serene environment and modern facilities. The successful completion of ATC-205 boosted cadets’ physical fitness, drill precision, and firing skills. More importantly, it nurtured leadership qualities, teamwork, and cultural awareness, marking yet another milestone in the journey of the 1 HP Girls Battalion NCC Solan.
