Shimla: In a move to align higher education with industry demands, APG Shimla University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CTPL Next Gen to launch new, job-oriented technical courses.

The partnership will introduce B.Tech programs in high-demand fields, including Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Data Science, and Cyber Security. These courses are designed to equip students with the skills needed to meet current and future technological challenges.

The agreement was signed by Prof. R.L. Sharma, Registrar of APG University, and Dr. Sanjay Sharma, Associate Vice President of CTPL Next Gen. “This partnership is an effort to bridge the gap between academia and industry,” said Dr. Sanjay Sharma. “Our aim is to provide students with practical knowledge and industry-ready skills so that they can succeed in their careers.”

The Vice-Chancellor of APG University expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration. “In today’s era, subjects like Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Cyber Security prepare students for global competition,” he said. “The experience and technical support of CTPL Next Gen will help our students gear up for new opportunities.”

The curriculum will combine theoretical knowledge with practical experience through live projects, guest lectures, and workshops led by industry experts. Both institutions believe the initiative will create better employment opportunities for students and strengthen the technical talent pool in the region.
