APG Shimla University and Government College Solan Sign MoU to Boost Higher Education

Shimla: In a major step towards improving higher education in Himachal Pradesh, APG Shimla University and Government College Solan have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The agreement aims to strengthen academic collaboration and enhance the quality of education across multiple disciplines.

The MoU focuses on joint efforts in Social Sciences, Basic Sciences, Commerce, Journalism, Performing Arts, and professional programs like BBA, BCA, Forensic Science, and PGDCA. It covers both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, ensuring students gain wider learning and career opportunities.

The MoU was signed in the presence of Principal Manisha Kohli of Government College Solan, Registrar R.L. Sharma, and Dean of Academics Dr. Anand Mohan from APG Shimla University. Shivani Keprate, Assistant Professor of Zoology at Government College Solan, also joined the delegation.

Speaking at the event, Principal Manisha Kohli said, “This collaboration will open new opportunities for students and faculty. It will combine practical exposure, industry interaction, and research into our academic structure.”

Registrar R.L. Sharma also emphasized the value of such collaborations. He said, “This MoU supports our vision of interdisciplinary learning and gives students broader academic and professional prospects.”

With this partnership, both institutions expect significant contributions to higher education. Students and faculty will benefit from enhanced learning experiences, research exposure, and collaborative growth opportunities.
