APG Shimla University Gears Up to Celebrate International Yoga Day

Shimla: APG Shimla University is all set to celebrate International Yoga Day on June 21 with a grand yoga event. The university will host several yoga activities, focusing on health and well-being, on its scenic campus.

From 8 a.m. onwards, the campus will turn into a hub of yoga. Students, faculty members, officers, NSS volunteers, university staff, and local residents will join the event. Even Home Guards from the Himachal Pradesh Home Guard Training Command Center, Kwara will participate in the mass yoga session.

According to Prof. R.L. Sharma, Registrar of APG Shimla University, the event will highlight both physical and mental health through simple yoga routines and postures. To add significance, Shimla’s Additional District Magistrate, Jyoti Rana, will attend the event as the chief guest.

Art of Living Acharya and Yogacharya Aditya Sood will make the participants do Yogasanas and various types of Yoga postures in the yoga camp. He will guide participants through various asanas and techniques, making the experience both relaxing and energizing. The university aims to spread awareness about the benefits of yoga and promote a healthier lifestyle among all age groups.
