Shimla: The Department of Forensic Science at APG University created an electrifying atmosphere with its quiz competition, “Forensic Files: The Faceoff.” The event brought together sharp and enthusiastic minds from B.Sc. and M.Sc. Forensic Science, including freshers, for a thrilling test of knowledge, speed, and strategy.

Five teams, each honoring a pioneer of forensic science — Orfila, Osborn, Jeffreys, Bertillon, and Locard — battled through engaging rounds. The quiz covered general science, forensic fundamentals, entertainment, and recent advancements in the field, keeping the audience hooked throughout.
In a fierce contest, Team Orfila clinched the champion’s title with outstanding teamwork and subject expertise. Team Osborn secured the runner-up position, impressing everyone with quick responses and smart strategies.
The competition ended with a prestigious prize distribution ceremony. Dr. Anand Mohan, Dean of Academics, presented medals to the winners and runners-up. He praised their performance and encouraged all participants to continue striving for excellence in forensic science.
