Solan: Yogananda Knowledge Centre (YKC) and the Young Communicators Club (YCC) at Shoolini University organised an engaging on-the-spot story writing competition. Students wrote stories on inspiring themes including The Algorithm of Life, The Elevator and the Stairs, The Power Bank of Life, The Lighthouse in the Storm, The Backup Plan, and The Bookmarked Page.

Dr Ashoo Khosla, Chief Learning Officer, and Mr Charanjeet Singh, Adjunct Professor at the School of Media and Communications and Vice President President of the Public Relations Council of India (PRCI), served as judges for the event. Their motivating insights encouraged students to think creatively and express their ideas with clarity and purpose.
The winners were Arnav Sharma (1st), Prince (2nd), and Tanya (3rd). Special mentions were awarded to Bhumika, Suryansh, Ishita, and Nyasa for their commendable entries. Director of Yogananda Library, Col. T. P. S. Gill, appreciated the initiative, noting that such activities are integral to the library’s mission of nurturing creativity and literary interest among students. The event was coordinated by Neelam Thakur and Deepak Verma (YKC) and Richa Gandhi (YCC), with active support from the library staff and YCC members.
Dr. Puja Thakur, Librarian, said that the library will continue to organise creative and student-centric activities to promote holistic learning and inspire young writers across the campus.
