Solan: The Social Sciences Club and the NSS Unit of Government Degree College, Jainagar, jointly organized an interactive lecture program to celebrate Indian Constitution Day. The event commemorated the anniversary of the adoption of the Indian Constitution and centered on the theme “The Indian Constitution and Social Justice.”
Prof. Pragati Kashyap, from the Department of Political Science, was the keynote speaker. She delivered an enlightening address on the Constitution’s role in promoting social justice, delving into the vision of the Constitution’s framers, key constitutional provisions, and the progress and challenges in achieving social equity. Prof. Kashyap stressed the importance of collective and continuous efforts to build a just and equitable society.
The program concluded with a thought-provoking address by the Principal, Dr. Anjana Sood, who emphasized the enduring relevance of the Constitution’s principles in the modern context. She urged students to embody the values of justice, equality, and fraternity in their daily lives, reinforcing the importance of active civic engagement.
