Solan: Government Degree College Jainagar hosted an Induction-cum-Orientation Programme on July 16, 2025, at 11:30 AM. The event was held under the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) to welcome and guide new students. The main goal was to introduce students to college life, academic systems, and support services. So, they could start their journey with clarity and confidence.
During the session, speakers covered vital topics like Gender Sensitivity, Digital Awareness, Emotional Wellness, and Co-curricular Activities. These topics helped students understand how to build a well-rounded college experience.
Along with this, students learned about key rules and procedures. These included anti-drug and anti-ragging measures, library use, the academic calendar, and class timetables. Information was also shared on HPU registration, APAAR ID creation, Continuous Comprehensive Assessment (CCA), and the college’s code of conduct.
The programme ended with a powerful motivational talk by Principal Dr. Anjana Sood. She inspired students to stay focused on learning, while maintaining discipline and integrity throughout their academic journey. This well-structured event ensured every student felt welcomed, informed, and ready for success.
