Solan: To connect students with industry demands, Govt. College Solan hosted an Industry Engagement Session today. The Departments of Computer Science and Computer Applications, along with the Career Counselling and Placement Cell, organized the event in the college’s conference hall.
Around 80 final-year students from B.Sc. (Computer Science) and BCA took part actively. Faculty members from both departments were also present during the session. The event featured experts from Alpha IT, a reputed name in the tech industry. Three professionals from the company spoke directly with the students. They shared valuable tips on building careers after completing B.Sc. Computer Science and BCA. The speakers also highlighted trending roles and essential skills needed to succeed in the IT field.
In addition, the discussion covered modern technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, Data Analytics, and Cybersecurity. Students engaged actively, raised relevant queries, and gained a better understanding of what the industry expects today.
The event wrapped up with a warm vote of thanks to Alpha IT’s representatives. Their guidance and motivation inspired students to sharpen their skills and stay aligned with tech advancements.
