Solan: Justice C. B. Barowalia, Lokayukta, Himachal Pradesh and Chairman of the HP State Human Rights Commission, delivered a guest lecture on Human Rights at Shoolini University on Monday. The event was organised by the Faculty of Legal Sciences.
Dr. Nandan Sharma, Associate Dean, welcomed the distinguished speaker and spoke about the importance of human rights in today’s world.
In his address, Justice Barowalia traced the historical development of human rights and explained their relevance in contemporary society. He highlighted the role of legal professionals in protecting these rights and shared real-life examples from his long legal career to explain the challenges and moral responsibilities involved in defending them.
The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Renu Pal Sood, Associate Professor, who expressed gratitude to Justice Barowalia for his valuable insights and to all participants for attending.
