Solan: Kasauli International Public School (KIPS), Sanwara, achieved remarkable success at the Open Shooting Championship held in Shimla from June 6 to 8, 2025. Eight talented students represented the school and brought home eight medals—three gold, three silver, and two bronze.

Class 10 student Priyanshi Arora won gold in the 10m Air Rifle (Girls – Sub Youth) category, scoring 378 out of 400. In the boys’ category, Class 11 student Ansh Kaushal bagged gold with an impressive 385 out of 400 in the same event. Lakshya Kaushal from Class 7 earned silver in the 10m Air Rifle (Boys – Sub Youth) with a score of 361. Meanwhile, Class 9’s Arnav Khurana secured another silver in the 10m Open Sight Rifle (Sub Youth) category, scoring 164.
Class 11 shooter Gariman had a stellar performance. He won bronze in the 10m Air Pistol (Boys – ISSF) event by scoring 536 out of 600. He also claimed silver in the Youth Boys ISSF category. Another outstanding performance came from Class 11’s Viren Gulia, who took gold in the 10m Air Pistol (Youth) with a score of 367. Class 12’s Girish Kumar scored 317 in the same category and secured a bronze medal.
After their return, the young shooters received a warm welcome at KIPS. Managing Director Mr. Hira Thakur, Principal Mr. Rajiv Guleria, and Vice-Principal Mrs. Poonam Thakur congratulated them. They praised the students’ efforts and encouraged them to stay dedicated and keep excelling in sports. This proud moment for KIPS highlights the school’s growing excellence in shooting sports and the dedication of its young athletes.
