Chandigarh: Haryana Governor, Bandaru Dattatraya met Para cricketer Aamir Hussain Lone at Raj Bhavan on Saturday. Governor, Bandaru Dattatraya honoured Aamir by presenting him with an idol of Lord Krishna and a shawl. He also said that Aamir’s life is a true inspiration for everyone. Despite all the difficulties, Aamir did not lose courage and fulfilled his dream. “I am happy that Sachin Tendulkar and other cricketers have praised Aamir,” he added.
Aamir Hussain shared with the Governor that he faced many challenges to reach his current position. He recounted that during a childhood accident, he lost both his hands in a saw machine. Since then, his dream was to become a cricketer.
After the accident, he momentarily felt that he would not be able to fulfill his dream. However, he did not lose courage and, by facing all the challenges, he has become a successful para cricketer and is now the captain of the Jammu and Kashmir para cricket team. He believes that no student should give up in the face of any challenge during sports or education, but should face it bravely and will definitely achieve success.
During the meeting, Governor Dattatraya congratulated para cricketer Aamir Hussain on his success and wished him all the best for the future. Hussain was accompanied by Dr Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura, Chandigarh.
