Ram is Shubh, Mangal and inspiring: Dattatreya Hosabale

Guwahati: Ram is Shubh (auspicious), Ram is Mangal (propitious), Ram is inspiration, Ram is faith, conviction. Ram is not a Murti (idol) of Dharma, but Vigrah or Dharma himself, said Dattatreya Hosabale, Sarkaryavah of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, while releasing a book titled ‘Ram Phir Laute’ (Ram returned again) along with Gita Manishi Swami Gyananand, justice Hemant Gupta and VHP’s international working president Alok Kumar in New Delhi on 9 December.

The book in Hindi penned by journalist Hemant Sharma and published by Prabhat Prakashan highlights the historic and glorious journey of re-constructing Ram Mandir at Ayodhya. Prabhu Ram returned to Ayodhya in Treta Yuga and now he is returning to the Mandir and thus Ram has returned to our hearts as well, commented Hosabale, adding that the return of Ramtva or Ram Tatva to our hearts, families and every dimension of our life, will create a welfare-oriented society for Bharat and humanity.

“There was a movement for liberation of Ram Janmbhoomi Mandir for national integration and reassertion of cultural nationalism. Ram Mandir is not just another temple or tourist centre, but a national centripetal and pivotal hub of pilgrimage,” said the RSS Sarkaryavah, adding that Shri Ram’s Ayodhya means sacrifice, Ayodhya means democracy, Ayodhya means Maryada and dignity.

Hosabale pointed out that there has always been a struggle for the restoration of Dharma, and it is sometimes necessary for creation. There were martial fights for Ram Janmbhoomi 72 times, every generation fought, but never gave up. People of every language, class, community and sect participated in this struggle. The story of the history and struggle of Ram Janmabhoomi has been written by many writers. But a comprehensive, all-inclusive history of the movement needs to be written with wide-ranging facts, figures, documents and graphics, he asserted.

Swami Gyananand said that this is not just the Ram Mandir, but the foundation of Rashtra Mandir. National pride is being laid in Ayodhya as Ram is our inspiration, identity, pride and self-respect. Shri Ram is in the Mandir and also in our Hridaya-Mandirs, said Gyananand adding that the clouds of appeasement are disappearing from Bharat. There is a renaissance of Bharatiya culture all around. Now Ram will return to the people and Bharat will again become the Vishva Guru.

Alok Kumar stated that the proclamation of ‘Krinvanto Vishwamaaryam’ (Let’s ensure refinement, grace and dignity in the world) would be made meaningful by inviting millions of families for the programs to be held in over 500,000 Mandirs on 22 January 2024. The author Sharma commented that Ayodhya is not just a city, it is an idea and cultural heritage of Bharat. Ayodhya is the mother of democracy and the place of inspiration for welfare of the People. Prabhat Kumar moderated the program which was organized at Ambedkar International Centre.
