Solan: The Lawrence School, Sanawar, emerged victorious in the 18th Kirloskar Business Quiz 2025, lifting the coveted trophy in a nail-biting finish. The prestigious annual event, hosted by Sanawar and organised by the Commerce Faculty of the host school , witnessed the participation of 15 reputed schools from across the country, making it one of the most competitive editions yet.
The quiz opened with a preliminary screening round of 20 questions, from which six schools advanced to the finals: Mayo College, Ajmer; Vasant Valley School, New Delhi; Springdale Senior Secondary School, Amritsar; Learning Path School, Mohali; Yadavindra Public School, Patiala; and the host school, Sanawar.
The grand finale, conducted by renowned Quiz Master Gautam Bose, was structured into six rapid-fire sections that challenged the participants’ business knowledge, quick thinking, and decision-making skills. Adding to the excitement, the audience also took part through interactive question rounds.
After a fiercely contested battle of wits, The Lawrence School, Sanawar’s team—comprising Viraj Gupta, Akshat Prashar, and Yuvraj Singh—clinched the trophy. Springdale Senior Secondary School, Amritsar, the defending champions, secured the first runner-up position, while Vasant Valley School, New Delhi, finished as the second runner-up.
The event was graced by Mr. Parag Bhatia, an alumnus of Sanawar (Batch of 2011) and owner of Laborate Pharma, felicitated the winners and the teacher escorts of all the participating schools, as the Chief Guest. In his address, he inspired students to live by the school’s timeless motto, “Never Give In,” and to pursue their aspirations with passion and perseverance.
