Solan: Shoolini University celebrated Engineering Day to mark the birth anniversary of Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, one of India’s greatest engineers, fondly remembered as the Father of Modern Engineering in India.
The occasion highlighted M. Visvesvaraya’s pioneering contributions to dams, irrigation systems, and flood protection projects, which played a crucial role in laying the foundation of modern infrastructure in India. Faculty members and students recalled his vision, dedication, and engineering brilliance that continue to inspire generations.
The celebration also recognised the invaluable role of engineers in nation-building and technological advancement. Prof Ashish Khosla Director Innovations and Marketing Shoolini University emphasised that Engineering Day served as a reminder of the responsibility engineers carry in shaping a sustainable and progressive future through innovation, creativity, and problem-solving.
