Solan: Shoolini University celebrated Hindi Diwas with great zeal and cultural spirit through a Hindi Festival organised jointly by the Kāvya Club and Lit-Witz Club at the University Cineplex. Hindi Diwas is celebrated every year on 14th September to mark the adoption of Hindi as the official language of India in 1949 by the Constituent Assembly. The event witnessed the active participation of 22 students, including 17 in the poetry recitation competition and 5 in the speech contest.

The programme was judged by Dr. Prakash Chand and Ph.D. scholar Rasvika Tripathi, while Dr. Purnima Bali, Head of the Chitrakoot School of Liberal Arts, was the special guest. The speech contest featured powerful presentations on themes such as Samanata hi sacchi azaadi hai, Agar kitaben bol sakti, Ek ped, sau ummeedein, Rashtriya Shiksha Neeti, and Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. Students shared insightful perspectives, especially on the National Education Policy and Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. The poetry recitation added a creative and emotional dimension with original verses.
Judges praised the participants for their confidence, depth of thought, and effective delivery. In the speech competition, Jahanvi, Aditi, and Sanya Sehgal emerged as winners, while Rafia Aman, Hari Narayan, and Palak Jain secured the top positions in the poetry recitation contest. The event was organised under the guidance of Associate Dean Students Welfare Dr. Neeraj Gandotra. turned into a memorable tribute to Hindi and its timeless cultural essence.
