Shoolini University Hosts CEDSA conclave on Direct Selling in India

Solan: Shoolini University hosted the 4th CEDSA conclave on Direct Selling, a major national event that brought together top industry leaders, academicians, entrepreneurs, and policymakers to discuss the evolving future of the Direct Selling industry in India. The event was inaugurated by Chancellor Prof. P.K. Khosla and Vice Chancellor Prof. Atul Khosla, who spoke on the values of leadership, vision, and integrity that shaped Shoolini University. Prof. Atul Khosla urged young professionals to “be the elephant in the room” calm, confident, and ready for the future. 

The conclave was organised by Prof. Kamal Kant Vashisht, one of India’s first PhD holders in Direct Selling, widely regarded as the academic face of the industry. In his keynote address, Prof. Vashisht highlighted the need for formal education in Direct Selling, stressing the importance of turning “passion into profession”. Quoting his guiding belief, he said, “Niyat Mein Barkat” blessings lie in intentions.

The two days featured four impactful panel discussions focusing on digital transformation, ethical governance, women’s empowerment, and the industry’s long-term vision. Industry experts including Mr. Deepak Bajaj, Mr. Gautam Bali, Mr. A.P. Reddy, Mr. Rajiv Gupta, Mr. Rafiq Ahmed, Mr. Rahul, Dr. Gopalam Sultania, Mr. Vishal Vats, and Mr. Rajesh Agarwal shared their insights on building a professional and trustworthy Direct Selling ecosystem. They stressed the importance of using technology, following ethical practices, and promoting leadership rooted in values.

Women leaders also took centre stage, sharing powerful stories of growth and independence through Direct Selling. Ms. Priyanka Bhatiya, Ms. Dharmshila Kumari, Dr. Swati Jogi, Ms. Madhu, and Advocate Priyanka Sharma shared their experiences. They spoke about how Direct Selling has helped women achieve financial freedom, self-confidence, and personal growth. Advocate Sharma also highlighted the importance of legal awareness and creating supportive work environments for women.

The event concluded with the presentation of the Golden Rudraksh Awards to three stalwarts of the industry, Mr. Gautam Bali, Managing Director, Vestige Marketing Pvt. Ltd, Mr. A.P. Reddy, President of FDSA, and Mr. Rajesh Agarwal, noted management mentor and trainer, for their outstanding contributions to the growth of Direct Selling in India.

In his closing remarks, Prof. Ashish Khosla, Director of Innovations and Marketing at Shoolini University, spoke about the growing role of Artificial Intelligence in business and how it can further empower the Direct Selling sector.
