Solan: Shoolini University dispatched and successfully delivered nearly 3,500 kilograms of relief material to the flood-affected regions of Mandi and Kullu districts in Himachal Pradesh.
The supplies, comprising essential household items, food, and clothing, have already reached ground zero, where local volunteers are distributing them to affected families.

The humanitarian initiative was made possible through contributions from Shoolini’s faculty and staff, who pledged one percent of their salaries. The University matched this contribution equally, enabling the preparation of 300 relief kits. These were carefully designed to cater to immediate needs and included household starter kits with tarpaulins, utensils, and blankets; dry ration kits containing rice, atta, dal, spices, oil, tea, and sugar; and special kits for women with salwar suits, innerwear, and personal items.
The on-ground distribution effort is being led by young volunteer Mr. Nikhil Saini and his team, who are ensuring that the relief material reaches the households most in need.
Commenting on the initiative, Dr. Ashoo Khosla, Trustee and Chief Learning Officer of Shoolini University, said, “While these supplies could not undo the pain of lost homes and livelihoods, they carried a message of solidarity and compassion. This was our way of telling the people of Himachal that we stood with them in this difficult hour.”
