Solan: The All India ITF International Tennis Tournament organized at Durga Public School, Solan in collaboration with Raja Durga Singh Club, concluded formally on Thursday. Players in the age group of 30+ to 75+ participated in it. More than 175 players from India and abroad reached Solan for the tournament.
Durga Singh Club PR Amit Anand told that the final of 70+ age group in the tournament was won by Dr. Renu Malan, a well-known gynecologist from Solan. He was honored with a trophy. Similarly, in the 55+ age group, Tikam Panwar of Solan won the trophy by performing brilliantly in singles and doubles matches. Karan Kanwar of Solan also won in the final of 45+ age group.
The excellent performance of the players brought glory to Solan. International player Hitendra Panwar was also present on this occasion. Panwar recently won a silver medal representing the Indian team in the international competition in the 50+ age group held in Mexico. Many well-known personalities were present at the closing ceremony.
